This week was a class outing to Dublin City Center
where we visited The Bodies Exhibition , Hugh Lane
Gallery and The Science Gallery in Tritiny College.

1st stop was The Bodies Exhibition which was held in the Ambassador Theatre.
“The Exhibition takes visitors through galleries providing an up-close look inside the skeletal, muscular, reproductive, respiratory, circulatory and other systems of the human body. Many of the whole body specimens are dissected in vivid athletic poses, allowing the visitor to relate to everyday activities. In addition, authentic human specimens illustrate the damage caused to organs by over-eating and lack of exercise. A healthy lung is featured next to a black lung ravaged by smoking in a vivid comparison more powerful than any textbook image. The Exhibition will change the way people see themselves. It is designed to enlighten, empower, fascinate, and inspire.”

Ah I dont know I heard it was meant to be good but it didnt float my boat.
Next on the list- Hugh Lane Gallery

The Hugh Lane Gallery located in the heart of Dublin is one of Ireland’s bes

t known collections of modern and contemporary art. It holds nearly 2000 pi
eces of artworks, going from the impressionism eg,Monet, to well known contemporary artists. The Gallery also holds exhibitions and “explores new expression in multimedia”. I’m not afraid to admit though that half of the modern art I just don’t get, chairs in fields , pieces of art that are just squares put together……??? I don’t know.
Our last stop of the day(before the pub)- The Science Gallery in Trinity College
This was deadly I have to say. The had really interesting things there . The Science Gallery is the 1st of its kind in the world.
From creating light by the energy given off in soil, to trapsing the catwalk where the spotlight is always on you with light motion sensors, this place has something to interest everyone.

And to Finish off the day in one of Dublins locals
